All sizes quoted are approximate and are our estimates of the fish in stock
Wherever possible we try to sex fish where requested, although we cannot guarantee this.
All fish are named as we believe them to be, although in extreme cases it is possible that we may be mistaken. Please let us know of any queries as it is our intention to provide the best service possible.
Telephone us on 01466 780328 or via e-mail watergarden2@btinternet.com to confirm that your fish are in stock (we update details several times weekly but due to our volume of sales, we may occasionaly exhaust our stocks). Please note that we can despatch orders to arrive on Tuesday through Friday but NOT Saturday to Monday.
We will require your name, address, telephone numbers (for days of despatch and arrival), details of the fish and dry goods required, any special requirements (sex/colour of fish etc) and credit card details. We will also agree the total cost with you.
Note that carriage is currently £15.00 (UK mainland) for up to 20kg (other areas and weights by arrangement). We will agree with you the day and date of arrival. It is not possible to arrange an exact time of arrival but it will be between 8.30am and midday.
Please note that occasionally at the last minute, certain fish will not be available and we will attempt to contact you to inform you of the position. If this it is not possible, we will send the balance of the order without substitution.
We keep the majority of our Tropical and Coldwater fish at a ph of 7.00 - 7.5 and at a temperature of 24 - 27c. Your aquarium must be similar to this.
You should also ensure that the ammonia and nitrite readings are zero, the nitrate level is below 25 ppm and the tank is "fully cycled" i.e. fully matured with a mature filter. The aquarium must have adequate room for the fish ordered and that the tankmates are compatible. You should be conversant with the requirements of the fish being ordered.
Please ensure you will be at home to accept your order.
Acclimatising your new fish - your fish have been carefully selected and packed in oxygen to arrive safely with you. They will have cooled during transit and may feel quite cold to the touch.. This will not be a problem.
Turn off the aquarium lights and float the plastic bag unopened for 15 minutes to allow the temperature in the bag to equate with your tank water temperature.
Then open the top of the bag and roll it down to form a collar so that the bag floats on the surface with the top open. This is essential to allow oxygen to get into the water.
Our fish are packed in water ph 7.00 - 7.5 (unless specified differently) and your water must be of a similar level. Over a period of 20 minutes, add water from your tank ( a cup at a time ) to the bag to adjust fluctuations in the different water conditions. Excess water can be tipped away.
After 35 minutes, gently lift the fish from the bag and allow them into your tank discarding the water from the bag.
The fish will need time to rest and probably will not feed for a day or two. Allow them to hide away and rest.
