Guarantee

We guarantee the live arrival of our fish so if on the rare occasion one arrives dead, we will issue a credit (for the cost of the fish ) back to your card or replacement. To arrange this we require a phone call immediately on arrival (at the latest before 2.00 pm on the same day).

The dead fish should be dried on some kitchen paper and returned by post in a plastic bag. Upon receipt, we will arrange either the credit back to your card of the cost of the fish, or a replacement.

This guarantee does not cover the cost of carriage.

Packaging

For transportation, all our fish are bagged using 400 gauge plastic bags (extra spiny fish are double bagged).

The fish are packed (often individually) in a lot of water with pure oxygen added. They are placed in a polystyrene fish box, lined with layers of newspaper for additional insulation. Each box is filled with additional bags of warm water and in winter, heat packs, to maintain temperature stability. The box may be encased in cardboard.

The shipment is despatched by courier to arrive at your door between 8.00 am and 12.00 mid-day (certain areas may be "before 4.00pm" but our guarantee still applies)
